For viewing microscopic organisms or structures as small as bacteria, the superior magnification and resolving power of our Boreal Advanced SKope with 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser has long set the standard. Now, coupled with a built-in 1/3" CCD digital camera and powerful Motic Images 2000 1.1 software on CD-ROM, we've set the standard even higher!
The Advanced Digital SKope features parfocal, achromatic coated objectives (4x, 10x, 40x, 100x oil immersion), 10x widefield eyepiece with pointer, inclined 360 degree rotating head, full-sized body, coarse and fine focus, easy adjust collar for precise control of focus tension and much more. An all-metal body with reagent-resistant finish, "student-proof" recessed eyepiece set screw, and stage stop-and-slip clutch coarse-focus knobs are just some of the durability features that ensure a long life.
The 24-bit (16.7 million colors) CCD digital camera provides 480 lines of resolution and requires a minimum illumination of only 0.1 lux. The feature-laden Motic Images software allows you to capture microscopic images in real-time, store them on your computer's hard drive, send live or captured images to a computer or TV monitor (via the USB "plug and play" connection) so the entire class can see what's on the slide, print them out for student reference, post them to a website, even email them.
The measuring function allows you to measure specimens by length and area (elliptical, rectangular and irregular shapes). Video capture lets you create time-lapse "movies" of specimen growth, movement and changes over time.
With the sound recording function (and your sound card and microphone) you can record and store images with audio notes for future reference. As powerful as this software is, it is also amazingly simple to use.
