Chemetrics Nitrate

Product Information
Nitrate is the most completely oxidized form of nitrogen. It's formed during the final stages of biological decomposition-either in wastewater treatment or natural water supplies. Using the colorimetric method, nitrate is reduced to nitrite using cadmium as the reducing agent. The resulting nitrite concentration is then determined colorimetrically (the intensity of the pink dye is directly proportional to the nitrite concentration of the sample). Approx. analysis time: 11 minutes. Range 0–50 and 50–360 ppm.
