Product Information

Demonstrate the fundamentals of contour mapping and help students develop their ability to interpret topographic maps.

Using a plastic model of Mount Capulin placed in a clear plastic container, students can add water to various elevations then use a grease pencil to outline the water's edge on the transparent cover. These lines are then traced on a piece of clear acetate, producing a contour map. Model comes with case. Additional or replacement cases are available - sold separately.

Includes: container (30 cm x 15 cm x 8 cm), molded model of Mount Capulin and an acetate sheet. (Please note: Fifteen kits are recommended.)
