Product Information

Simulate methods used to determine planet and star composition. Students examine emission lines produced by sodium, copper, lithium and strontium. Each substance is contained in a glass vial with its own nichrome wire loop.
A reference chart on the bottom of the plastic case cross references chemicals and emission lines produced when the chemicals are vaporized in a flame then analyzed with a QA Spectroscope. Includes plastic case with a holder for each vial to prevent spillage and suggested activities. Note: QA spectroscope required, but not included.
