Forensic Science: Introduction to DNA Fingerprinting
|
Product Information
Give students a real feel for what it takes to be a real detective. This basic introduction to forensic science covers many bases, including cells, cell structure, and magnification. Students use this information to construct a model “chromosome” with color-coded “genes” representing some physical traits of the suspect. The process of DNA mapping and DNA fingerprinting is carefully explained. Students will be able to read simulated DNA x-ray films to positively identify the perpetrators of the crime. Kit contents are resusable. Includes instructions.
