Product Information
With this stream table unit and accessories, you can dramatically recreate all the processes of stream formation. All phenomena may be simulated for investigation of water as an element in geological, geographical and environmental studies.
Two separate, independently controllable streams flow from the control panel. The depth of the water is automatically controlled and the unit empties itself. The 60 cm x 168 cm tray is constructed of thermoplastic, which is virtually unbreakable.
The rainmaker creates 930 square centimeters of rainfall over any part of the table. The wavemaker is battery operated and may be located at any point around the lake area to show wave action on shoreline formation.
A plotting grid fits over the tray at any position for mapping contours, tracing stream patterns and measuring the effects of stream flow-rate. The cart is constructed of rugged tubular steel with undershelf storage, is attractively finished in silver blue, and measures 75 cm high with locking wheels.
Includes: stream table sand and a 32-page student workbook. Some assembly required.
