Product Information

Students analyze the chloride content of seawater samples from different oceans.
Using the precipiometric titration technique, students (working in pairs) analyze the chloride content of seawater samples from the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico as well as a local source. Each of the titrations can be repeated three times.
Includes: one bottle each of Atlantic Ocean water, Pacific Ocean water and Gulf of Mexico water, one vial potassium chromate indicator, two bottles silver nitrate solution, 15 student data sheets and instruction manual.
