Plain English Map of Drosophila Chromosomes
|
Product Information
Biology teacher Susan Offner has developed a map of the Drosophila chromosomes that provides students with a way to see how the fruit fly genes are arranged. These maps show which genes are most involved in the physical traits that are monitored in classical genetic experiments. Try comparing the Drosophila maps to the Plain English Map of Human Chromosomes. Students will find it interesting to learn what we share in common with the fruit fly on the chromosomal level. Maps are available in two formats: full color laminated poster for extended class use or as black and white pads of 30 for individual student use.
