UV Beads

The portable UV light is easy to use and yields consistent results. I used it for student-designed experiments involving sunscreen and UV beads. The light was clamped to ring stand. Students placed their beads under the light to test the variable of their choice. They repeated the experiment outdoors in sunlight and compared the controlled UV light to natural conditions. It was a great way to start a discussion of experimental design, controls, and variables.
