Product Information

The physiology of respiration is a vital topic in human biology.

This spirometer allows students to investigate respiration by using their own bodies. Students will determine tidal volume (amount of exhaled and inhaled air during normal breathing), expiratory reserve volume (amount of air that can be forcibly breathed out), inspiratory reserve volume (amount of air that can be inhaled), and vital capacity (maximum amount of air that can be exhaled following a maximal inhalation).

Includes 100 mouthpieces and a laboratory manual describing the four experiments.
