Product Information
Phosphorus occurs naturally in rock formations in the Earth's crust, usually in the form of phosphate. Using the colorimetric method, this kit employs the molybdovanadic acid method. Phosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate under acid conditions and in the presence of vanadium to form a yellow product. The intensity of the color formed is directly proportional to the phosphate concentration in the sample. Approx. analysis time four minutes. Range 0–250 ppm. 0–12 and 25–250 ppm.
