This actual working seismograph allows students to witness dramatic earthquake activity as it occurs anywhere in the world!
The adjustable weighed boom and coil/magnetic arrangement transmits a seismic wave signal through a pre-amp into a power amplifier. The amplifier separates offset and gain controls and connects directly to the strip chart recorder.
The Computer Interface Model has all the software and hardware required to connect to a PC. Or, if you already have the non-computer model, the Computer Recording Upgrade will bring your strip chart seismograph into the computer age. A comprehensive user's manual comes with all packages.
Minimum requirements: Windows, 386 or better, serial port, VGA monitor.
