Product Information

Teach students about wavelength, modes of vibration and frequency with this easy-to-use demonstration apparatus.
The DC motor shaft utilizes an offset mass designed to create vibrations. Simply use masses and a pulley to put tension on a string, then create standing waves of various frequencies by adjusting the output from a DC power supply.
The Low Voltage AC/DC Power Supply has a variable output of 0-6V and features color-coded jacks and an easy-to-use voltage adjustment knob.
Please note: A variable-output DC power supply, clamps, masses and a table-mounted pulley are required but not included with the String Vibrator.
