This variable speed Van de Graaff type generator will produce 250,000 to 400,000 volts. This generator can be used for performing all electrostatic experiments on a spectacular scale. It also is especially suited for use with the Random Molecular Motion Demonstration Kit.

The generator is ruggedly constructed to give maintenance-free operation for many years. The sphere is 25 cm in diameter with a polished, smudge-resistant finish. The column between the base and sphere is clear lucite.

The overall height of the unit is 76 cm. The generator has an on/off switch. The variable speed motor is controlled by a knob and can be used to vary the rate of charge buildup.

For operation on 120 VAC, with a three-wire grounded cord. Replacement belts, 3.8 x 67.3 cm circumference, are available separately. One extra belt is included with the unit.
