Product Information

This apparatus produces an electrical charge by compressing the Piezoelectric Cell. As pressure is applied through a simple lever, thousands of volts are generated causing a spark to jump the gap. As the lever is released, a reverse voltage is generated.

The unit consists of the lever, the piezoelectric cell, and a spark gap mounted on a hardwood base. Binding posts are included on the spark gap. The construction of the unit is open, so that students can see all of the parts.
