Simply use this apparatus with an overhead projector to show your entire class the types of movements that can occur as a result of temperature, pressure or volume changes. The demonstrator vibrates different-sized balls on a glass plate, simulating molecular movement and action under various circumstances.
A control knob allows you to adjust the vibration speed to show effects of temperature changes. In addition, the barriers are helpful in demonstrating diffusion and confinement, and a glass dish helps you compare molecular motion in solids and liquids. This unit operates on 120V, AC.
Includes: five different types of balls (to represent different molecules), a disk (to represent a smoke particle), and complete instructions providing in-depth scientific background and lessons for 11 experiments.
