Get a big bang out of bubbles... and a bang for your buck too!
This demonstration, developed by teacher Jonathan Harger, lets you simply and easily create hydrogen- and oxygen-filled bubbles that, when ignited, pop loudly enough to grab any student’s attention.
The bubbles are created electrolytically, using an easily set-up adaptation of a Hoffman apparatus (but at a fraction of the price).
Includes: glass tubing, dish detergent, plastic bowl, Pyrex Erlenmeyer flask with a Twistit stopper, latex tubing, electrodes with leads, sodium carbonate, glycerin and instructions. Power supply and flame source are not included.
