The Five Senses Game provides early learners a fun introduction to the five senses and a means for developing a receptive and expressive vocabulary applicable to each sense.
After playing the many learning games found in this activity set, students will be able to identify and classify a variety of objects by the five senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. They will be able to identify and classify a variety of objects by secondary and tertiary senses - for example, flowers can be smelled but also seen and touched; the sun can be felt and seen, etc.
They will begin to build a descriptive vocabulary as pertains to the five senses - such as sweet, sour, bitter, salty, etc. to describe taste; rough or smooth, hot or cold, hard or soft to describe touch.
The guide contains instructions for three game card activities, two levels of Lotto game activities, and extension activities. 5 game boards (8"x 5-1/4" square), 2 easy-spin spinners, 35 game cards, instruction guide. All materials are made of sturdy, long-lasting, washable plastic. 1-5 players, ages 3-7.
