The Solarscope (69666-00) makes it easy for individuals or groups to view images of the sun in complete safety. Sunlight is projected onto the wall of a self-contained shadow box, revealing details that cannot be safely viewed with the naked eye. Solarscope is great for studying sunspots, solar eclipses and the transits of Venus and Mercury. There's even a comprehensive user's guide with instructions on tracking the Earth's ever-changing position with regard to the Sun.

An instrument designed to enable daytime astronomy, allowing observation of the Sun while ensuring ocular safety. The Solarscope employs the principles of telescopes and binoculars associated with an observation screen - in a system and package that is easy to use and is completely safe.

You can achieve stunning Sun observations with a high rate of accuracy. The Solarscope is user friendly - very simple to align, easy observation, robust and gives a high performance. Students can observe solar "sunspots", planet transits (Mercury, Venus 2004), and eclipses of the sun.

The Solarscope Standard Model (69666-00) is designed to be used by one or two persons. The Solarscope Education Version (69678-00) is for classrooms and comes with a complete Teacher's Manual.
