This book will engage your students in learning mathematical concepts and practicing arithmetic skills through play. In this collection of forty challenging games, polyhedra dice are used to generate random numbers for a variety of activities involving simple counting, numberation, the four basic operations with whole numbers, and for introductory activities involving fractions, decimals, geometric shapes, metric measurement, and coordinate graphing.
Some of the games are designed to be played by two to five players; others, by a larger group or an entire class. At least one variation is given for every game, which allows students to play the same game at different levels of skill development or with different goals in mind.
Encourage your students to think of new games or variations of existing games!
Polyhedra Dice Games Book includes game instructions and game sheets.
