Product Information

Direct methanol fuel cells offer the advantage of using a liquid fuel, rather than hydrogen gas to convert the fuel directly into carbon dioxide, water vapour, and electricity.
With this Methanol Fuel Cell, your students can explore the effect of methanol concentration on the voltage output. If used in tandem with the fuel cell from our Solar Hydrogen Science Kit, you experiment with series and parallel circuits.
The kit includes three stock bottles, which can be filled with varying concentrations of methanol.
