Resonance: The Velocity of Sound Apparatus (Teacher-Developed, Classroom-Tested)
|
Product Information
Teach students about the nature of sound with this simple device. First, you measure a quarter wavelength, then determine the relationship between wavelength and velocity. Students can prove their results by examining the frequencies of the tuning fork. Simply fill the tube with water, then adjust the inside column to locate the one-quarter wavelength. Developed by physics teacher Jerome Chandler, this easy-to-use kit helps students understand the properties of sound waves. (Please note: Tuning forks are required but not included.) Grades 9-12.
