Use this lightweight, portable monitor in conjunction with your IBM compatible computer, and you have a highly sensitive, easy-to-use Geiger counter.
Utilizing a stainless steel Geiger tube and mica alpha window, the unit detects all three types of radiation; alpha, beta, and gamma, plus radon gas and X-ray radiation.
The range spans levels as low as one microroentgen/hr to as high as 30,000 microrotengens/hr. Included with the monitor is a software package that can be used to gather and store data.
It also features a speaker that clicks with each ionizing radiation pulse, and sounds an alarm if the average radiation level exceeds a pre-selected limit. Data is displayed in a scrolling bar chart format that can be printed or exported. No batteries are needed.
