Product Information

Appropriate for Grades 9-12
In this activity, students will built 2 mini-watersheds: an agricultural site and a pristine wilderness near headwaters of a watershed. They will then use a conductivity sensor to measure the conductivity of runoff in each of these contexts, and will grasp how different land-use practices affect the quality of water runoff. This activity can be completed in 2 50-minute lab sessions.
Includes instructions. Requires 1 sensor and 1 USB Link or 1 Xplorer Datalogger for each group of students.When you want to use more than one USB Link or Xplorer (or any combination), the USB 4-Port Hub expands your single USB to 4 USB ports.
