This crystal counter-timer is perhaps the most versatile of all our electronic models. It can act as a pulse counter, a timer, or a scaler.
In the pulse counter mode the counter acts like a stopwatch, for example, in making precise measurements for determining acceleration in free fall where two Photocells (64933-00 ) are wired in series.
The gate control mode acts like an electric timer that is particularly useful in calculating average speed relationships. A 450 V pin jack output is provided for a Geiger Tube (64930-00 ), making the unit a radiation counter-scaler. Two 24 V banana jacks are provided for other accessories.
When used in conjunction with the Preset Timer Module (68636-00 ), the unit becomes a very accurate frequency counter. The counter has an internal crystal 10 kHz count input for millisecond timing, and counts pulses at rates to 100 kHz.
The display is a seven segment, planar gas discharge type. The counter requires an Amplifier Power Supply (64920-00 ) for operation.
