This threat to biodiversity, the diversity of all living things that inhabit the oceans and continents is unprecedented. The explosive population growth of humans has put all other species at risk. Using a case study approach, this program focuses in some depth on four species that represent different types of animals and geographic locations. It also delves into the effects wrought by humans in their efforts to live and the necessity for all of us to care about and preserve the earth's biodiversity.
