Using this comprehensive kit, students will learn how plants respond to light, gravity and other stimuli. The activities let students answer questions such as “Do plants move?” “What are the effects of pruning?” and “Do plants exhibit apical dominance?” Other topics covered include variability in a population, plant parts that control tropisms, elongation, the role of the meristem, and cell division.
Our hands-on, teacher-friendly kit features radish plants with a 35 day life cycle. The large seeds are easy to handle, and our flexible activity kit has a modular design that lets middle school students follow the basic experiments while high school students pursue more advanced studies. Kit contains materials for 10 student groups.
