Animals - Living Material
Live specimens are used for a wide variety of studies including studying the physiological effects of drugs on a specimen’s heartbeat and temperature on metabolism, the locomotion of microscopic organisms, and studying plant respiration, photosynthesis, plasmolysis, and more. Algal cultures form colonies of cells that are extremely easy to visualize for better understanding of cell walls and plastids, and many live specimens reproduce rapidly for quick turnover between successive tests.

Boreal Science Drosophila Recessive Genes Set
The set Includes cultures of wild, white, brown, dumpy, vestigial, vestigial brown and sepia.
We fully guarantee the purity and viability of our Drosophila melanogaster cultures. A large, vigorous culture is shipped in a shatterproof plastic vial. To ship Drosophila cultures with living larvae we require 10 days' notice prior to use date. During very cold weather, adult flies may die but eggs and larvae usually survive. Allow cultures to come to room temperature before checking under low magnification for eggs and live larvae. Complete instructions are always included.
