Usually found in freshwater and mosses, this organism has a hard umbrella shaped shell or "test", out of which finger-like pseudopodia project.

Members of the Pelomyxa genus look very much like Amoeba. Pelomyxa, however, have many nuclei, whereas Amoeba have only one.

This organism is a common environmental isolate, and can be found in soil as well as in industrial settings.

Freshwater; forms a colony of four, eight, 16 or 32 cells.

Freshwater. Colonial; colonies elliptical, made up of 16–32 cells. Basic culture solution.

Characterized by green plastids and cell walls composed of cellulose.

Paramecium bursaria is a ciliate that contains mutualistic algae called Zoochlorella. The algae lives in the cytoplasma of the Paramecium and provides it with food. Paramecium bursaria grows in Dilute Alfalfa Medium (Hay Medium) or Soil Water Medium. Requires light for growth.

Our cultures undergo strict biochemical screening and are unconditionally guaranteed for species and purity. Each culture is labeled with scientific name, media on which it was cultivated and optimum growth temperature. Although our cultures are considered non-pathogenic, standard bacteriological laboratory procedures should be used at all times. A. tumefaciens is a pathogenic soil bacterium known to cause grown gall disease, in nut trees and the plants of some stone fruits.

Colorless, most widely dispersed of the Serratia species. 

This spore-forming, thermophilic organism is commonly used for germicidal and sporicidal testing due to its ability to withstand higher-than-normal temperatures.

Both of these strains of Serratia marcescens are colorless mutants when plated alone, but when grown together, they produce a red pigment.
