The Backpack Lab is designed for educators and environmental science students, containing lessons, activities, and test kits that relate to important parameters evaluated in marine science.

This is a complete set of all the solutions required for routine pH measurement.

This is a chemical test kit that measures dissolved oxygen by modified Winkler titration. The HI3810 is supplied complete with all of the reagents and equipment necessary to perform approximately 110 tests.

This chemical test kit measures total hardness as CaCO₃ by titration with EDTA. It includes all of the reagents and equipment necessary to perform approximately 100 tests.

The Environmental Chemical Test kit is a chemical test kit for the determination of six parameters commonly monitored for environmental testing: acidity, alkalinity, carbon dioxide, hardness, dissolved oxygen, and pH. This kit is equipped with all the necessary reagents and equipment to perform over 100 tests for each parameter. pH is obtained with Hanna‘s pHep®, pH electronic tester.

CHEMets® Ozone Visual Test Kit

Ozone Instrumental Test 0 to 0.75 ppm

Test method: The Peracetic Acid CHEMets® test kit (0 to 1 and 0 to 5 ppm) employs the DPD chemistry. The sample is treated with an excess of potassium iodide. Peracetic acid oxidizes the iodide to iodine. The iodine then oxidizes DPD (N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine) to form a pink colored species in direct proportion to the peracetic acid concentration. Various oxidizing agents such as halogens, ferric ions and cupric ions will produce high test results. Hydrogen peroxide does not interfere with this test if present at levels comparable to the peracetic acid levels.

This product is meant to refill your CHEMets® if you already have the necessary comparator(s) and accessory solution(s).
