With a single pump, how are you going to run all of your fun decorations as well as your basic functions. Every aquaria needs some kind of airline attachments. The most common is a check valve to prevent an accidental syphoning back along the airline. You can easily attach multiple items to a single air pump with either a simple T-connector, or a gang valve. All plastic gang valves have a control knob, allowing you to control the amount of air traveling down each line.
