This large, 12×16" exhibit helps students to quickly visualize the concept of dihybrid crosses using the classic example of Mendel’s peas. Yellow and green marbles are used to represent yellow (YY) and green (yy) peas, and solid colors contrast with cats-eye swirls to distinguish between round (RR) and wrinkled (rr) traits. The stages of first generation (F1) and second generation (F2) crosses are clearly separated and fully labeled along with a key to the 9:3:3:1 F2 offspring ratio.
