Using penicillin-impregnated discs on two plates, students grow one lawn each of two common, naturally occurring pathogen bacteria.

The bacteria with natural resistance covers the entire plate with growth.
The bacteria without resistance shows a zone of inhibition (a ring of no growth around the disc).

Ordering information: It includes Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus epidermidis tube cultures, material for five lab groups, and instructions.
Delivery information: This kit includes perishable materials. Please specify delivery date.
Caution: Note: Living cultures are provided to reduce the laboratory preparation time. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months before use.
