Grow Exotic-Looking Mushrooms

Present a comprehensive unit on fungi by growing oyster mushrooms and watching them transform sawdust into nutritious soil. Your students will learn the importance of fungi, how they reproduce, and the structure and function of all the parts. In addition, they’ll investigate the effects of gravity (geotropism) on mushroom growth adaptive responses and the implication for fungal reproduction. The kit contains one control and one treatment setup, and literature with correlation to the national science standards. Note: Includes perishable materials. Please specify delivery date.
