The oversized vacuum chuck plate with adjustable pins easily accommodates a variety of slide sizes, and the high-density 7" sintered diamond saw blade cuts quicker and closer than more expensive models. A right-located rocking arm and micrometer feed controls cutting thickness, producing paper-thin sections ready for finishing on a grinder. Other features include a hinged spray guard, vacuum release valve, fingertip control panel, and constant coolant supply. The stainless steel, anodized, and cast-aluminum construction resists rust and corrosion, and a redesigned splash pan with a larger drain makes cleaning easier and eliminates sludge buildup.
