This gauge, made of clear butyrate, has an internal measuring tube with a capacity of 1" (25 mm) and is graduated to 0.01" (0.2 mm). Any precipitation greater than 1" overflows into the outer cylinder and is measured by pouring the overflow into the measuring tube. The receiving funnel and measuring tube can be removed for snow collection. It includes a sturdy, rust–proof mounting bracket, and is available in metric units.
