Innovating Science AP Environmental Science: Ocean Acidification
Product Details & Documents
Simulate ocean acidification by introducing carbon dioxide into water and measuring pH over time.
- Contains enough materials for 8 groups of students
- Comes with a Teacher’s Manual and student study guide copymaster
- Aligned with AP curriculum, covering AP Environmental Science primary learning objective STB-4.H
Changes to the carbon cycle and climate due to human activities have had detrimental effects on the environment. One example of this is known as ocean acidification, which is the changing of the ocean’s chemistry due to increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and ocean. In this activity, simulate ocean acidification by introducing carbon dioxide into simulated ocean water while measuring the pH over time. This kit contains enough materials for 8 groups of students and comes with a Teacher’s Manual and student study guide copymaster. The activity covers AP Environmental Science primary learning objective STB-4.H.
