This pair of steel balls demonstrates energy transformation. By striking the two balls together with a piece of paper between them, kinetic energy is transformed into work which creates thermal energy. This thermal energy creates a small burn hole in the paper. There is no flame but there will be a smell of burning paper. Each ball weighs 224 grams (0.49 lbs.) and has a diameter of 40 mm (1.5”).
