LeLoop®, Decon’s inoculating loops, are made of high-quality, twisted nichrome wire which is designed to cool rapidly after flaming.
Small loop: 2.26 mm Int.Ø
- Medium loop: 2.91 mm IInt.Ø
- Large loop: 3.57 mm Int.Ø
These loops are more economical than platinum or disposable plastic loops. The loops slide smoothly across the agar surface without tearing or gouging. Decon loops are made to be used with Decon’s brass holders.
Calibrated 1 µl (0.001 ml) and 10 µl (0.01 ml) inoculating loops are individually calibrated in accordance with ASM/APHA via Evans Blue Dye Test which is a CAP approved method. Calibration certificates are sent with calibrated loops or are available from Decon Labs.
