Sulfide CHEMets® Test Kit, CHEMetrics®
CHEMetrics test kits measure total acid soluble sulfides and employ the methylene blue methodology. Sulfides react with dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine in the presence of ferric chloride to produce methylene blue.

Nitrite HR Test Kits
The NED method is widely used in the quantitative analysis of nitrite and nitrate in water samples. NED readily undergoes a diazonium coupling reaction in the presence of nitrite to give a strongly colored pink azo compound. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the concentration of nitrite in the sample. Due to the significant intensity of the developed color even at very low nitrite/nitrate concentrations, lower detection limits and measurement ranges are possible vs. chromotropic acid kits. In addition, the nitrate measurement uses only zinc which is less toxic than cadmium, making handling and disposal safer.

Hardness (Total), Titrets Titration Cells, CHEMetrics
The test kits utilize CHEMetrics Titrets® ampoules. Titrets ampoules use a reverse titration technique to measure analyte concentration levels (titrant volume inside the ampoule is fixed while the sample volume is varied).

Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) Vials
COD vials are used to measure the chemical oxygen demand of influent and effluent of wastewater treatrement facilities. Requires a digestor block and photometer/spectrophotometer.

Nitrite, Titrets Titration Cells, CHEMetrics
Ceric sulfate is the titrant and ferroin is the end point indicator. The method is free from glycol interference in samples that contain up to 75% glycol, making it particularly applicable to systems that contain nitrite corrosion inhibitors. Results are expressed as ppm (mg/L) NaNO2.

Chlorine (Free & Total), CHEMets Visual Kit, CHEMetrics
The test kits for chlorine in water utilize a self-filling ampoule technology that reduces the user’s exposure to chemicals.

Manganese, CHEMets Visual Kit, CHEMetrics
CHEMetrics’ Manganese water test kits employ the periodate chemistry that measures soluble manganese compounds but does not differentiate the various valence states.
