Planaria are a flatworm commonly used in science fair projects. They do not bite and move very slowly, making them easy for young students to observe.

Colorless, most widely dispersed of the Serratia species. 

This spore-forming, thermophilic organism is commonly used for germicidal and sporicidal testing due to its ability to withstand higher-than-normal temperatures.

Isolated from human nasopharynx. Presumably not related to N. sicca; some relation to N. gonorrhoeae. Often agglutinates in saline. 

Both of these strains of Serratia marcescens are colorless mutants when plated alone, but when grown together, they produce a red pigment.

Beta hemolysis on blood. Causes wound infections and septicemia. 

This yellow, shiny organism is known to cause wound infections and more famously, toxic shock syndrome.

Paramecium aurelia is the smallest species of Paramecium we offer. Paramecium aurelia is characterized by cilia, which it uses for locomotion and feeing. Contains a macronucleus and two micronuclei. Grows in Dilute Alfalfa Medium (Hay Medium).

Cockroaches are widely used in labs for physiological, behavioral, structural, and developmental studies.

Grass frogs are low maintenance and seasonally available, typically from September to July.

Poecilia reticulata.

These African clawed frogs are entirely aquatic and thrive in an ordinary freshwater aquarium. They are often used in developmental studies and genetic experiments.
