The hexagon shaped plastic glitter crystals (0.040 size) are non-toxic and conform to ASTM D-4236. They are packaged in convenient plastic dispensing jars. The jar tops contain a variety of slot openings making it easy to use without a lot of mess.

The movement of liquid currents due to differences in temperature is demonstrated by introducing dye into the water in the tube. One corner of the tube is heated and the movement of the dye clearly establishes the currents. The rectangular shaped tube measures 15×21 cm and has an opening at the top.
