Blood

Animal and human blood is provided by Avantor for use in DNA/RNA isolation or for testing infectious diseases. Other blood samples can be used to study the osmotic properties of blood cells, as well as for other basic hematology studies. Blood samples are collected from healthy volunteers or donor animals, and certain blood samples (e.g. cord blood) are rich in highly valuable cells such as hematopoietic stem cells, which can be used to research genetic disorders.
