All Essential Information About Microscopes and Slide Production in One Kit

Students will first learn the basics of microscope care and use, and then with the included materials and other common items they will section embedded specimens with an inexpensive hand microtome and make their own slides. As they observe their slides under the microscope, they will learn how to size cells and cell structures with the stage micrometer. The kit includes the microtome, stage micrometer, enough materials for five setups, WARD’S Biologist Notebook: Understanding and Using the Microscope, teacher’s guide, and student copymaster.
