This ”how-to“ guide on CD-ROM uses photographs, illustrations, video clips, and text with hyperlinks to more information to demonstrate several water sampling and testing techniques. The program demonstrates how to correctly use instruments that measure dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and conductivity, as well as other testing apparatus. It also features extensive background information on aquatic communities, microlife bioindicators, and water pollutant limits and their effects on the environment. A separate section includes suggestions for hands-on lab investigations, safety guidelines, and a bibliography.
