There are certain characteristics that the scientific community uses to determine whether something could be considered living. On first observation, yeast does not look like a typical living thing. In this activity, students will hypothesize about yeast and then test to see if their hypothesis is correct. Using this information they will be able to come to a conclusion to the question of whether yeast is alive. Kit contains enough materials for 15 groups.

Caution: Warning: CHOKING HAZARD
Children under eight yeras can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
