Centriscus strigatus (Pliocene)
This remarkably preserved fossil is the skeletal remains of a "pipe fish". The finely layered sediments that encased this unusual fish provided an ideal environment for fossilization. The skeleton is over 5" long in matrix measuring 7 ¾"L x 6 ¼"W x 3/8"D. A fine collector's piece. Lebanon.
