- Links to a real world scenario
In this hands-on lab activity, students will learn how to use a digital camera to document all aspects of a crime scene like a professional. By utilizing the included materials they will learn to use the various functions of their camera such as zoon, exposure settings and flash in order to generate quality pictures in challenging situations. After learning how perspective, contrast, and lighting conditions affect their photographs, students will use their skills to document a “crime scene” and retrieve certain information from their photographs as if it were evidence presented in court. While performing this activity students are exposed to Framework Science Standard PS4: Waves and their Applications in Technologies for Information Transfer.
