Geography Tutor: Soil

The Geography Tutor series targets specific and critical areas of geographic knowledge and provides students with an easy to understand visual presentation of the world around us. The format allows for classroom useage and student tutorial. This program analyzes how soil is created, what it contains, the different types, soil horizons, loess, loam, erosion, strip-cropping, conservation techniques and other ways to reduce soil erosion. It asks questions such as: How is soil created? What does soil contain? What is soil conservation and why is it vital to all of us? What is erosion? What can we do to prevent erosion? What are the basic soil types? What are the best soils for growing different types of crops?
