Models Human Biology Models
An excellent model of blunt force trauma.

  • From The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology's Laboratory of Human Osteology
  • Postcranial bones show trauma from truck
  • Fracture includes bone fragments
These postcranial bones are from a Native American female who died when hit by an 18-wheel truck. The information about the human female victim is provided in a report along with an analysis of the trauma. Also, the fracture of the femur includes the fragment broken from the posterior shaft, a clear indication that the fracturing force came from the front.

Ordering information: The osteological evaluation report (PDF) will be sent with the purchase of this specimen.
